At the time, I did some research and found out about group-IT. Then I saw a job description that fit and liked it. Now I have been working as a Data Center Specialist at group-IT since May 2019. I am responsible for a wide variety of things related to Data Centers: Lease agreements, building and facility topics, properties, tasks related to electricity and climate, organization of access management. I am also responsible for standardization in group-IT, the technical part of the data centers in Austria and their further development, as well as maintenance and securing the inventory.
It is important to me to have fun at work and that my efforts are appreciated. There is a great deal of acceptance and appreciation among my colleagues at group-IT. It is also always important to deal with each other in a very polite and appreciative manner.
The challenging activities with numerous contacts and the contact with many different people are what I enjoy most about my work. I can work independently and have a lot of freedom to organize things myself. A particular highlight for me was the redesign of budget releases for data centers to increase availability and better avert risks.
