Georg Hessel is Managing Director of voestalpine group-IT China since 2018, he is already working in the group for more than 20 years. In addition to his management role, Georg Hessel also has responsibility for the "Service Desk, Support & Standard Operation" area of voestalpine group-IT.
After his studies in business informatics at the JKU Linz, Georg Hessel worked as a project manager and key account manager in other companies. In 2001, his career path finally led him to voestalpine.
A highlight of his varied career was the founding of voestalpine group-IT in Suzhou, China.
Due to the thematic diversity and global presence, I had the opportunity and privilege to hold a new challenging position in voestalpine group-IT every 3-5 years so far. This has always kept things exciting and interesting, which is why I have remained loyal to the company until today.
As a balance to his professional life, he likes to spend his free time doing sports - especially skiing as well as swimming - and cooking: Friends and family are regularly spoiled with specialties from the grill.
