On July 26, 2023, a very special event took place at FirstFoor in Linz: The apprentice graduation lunch from voestalpine group-IT. The joy and pride were palpable, when the four former apprentices together with two graduates from the year before, People responsible for education and managing director Rainer Jagoutz, entered the location.
The graduates were warmly welcomed in the restaurant to celebrate their commitment over the past four years. The apprentice graduation lunch also offered a great opportunity to review the experience of the apprenticeship.
The education responsible and the managing director encouraged the young colleagues to contribute their ideas and suggestions for the improvement to the apprenticeship.
The managing director was interested and listened attentively, because the opinions of the apprentice is important to him.
In a relaxed atmosphere, everyone at the table talked about everyday topics and the former apprentice had the opportunity to talk to the managing director in person. In addition to the exchange, a highlight was the delicious four-course menu.
At the end of the event, the apprentices received goodie bags: The voestalpine T-shirt and the environmentally friendly metal straws were particularly well received.
The most pleasing, however, is that all former apprentices have found their place at voestalpine group-IT and got accepted at their desired departments.
