I started my apprenticeship in September 2021 at the age of 16, having previously attended HBLA Lentia. I got the idea of doing an apprenticeship at voestalpine group-IT through a trial day.
At the beginning of the apprenticeship, I worked in the secretariat for a year, where I was able to familiarize myself with the various processes and procedures. After that, I worked in Purchasing and Business Care for six months, where I honed my skills in ordering and customer service. Now I work in the HR department and, among other things, prepare service certificates and collaborate on various projects.
What I find particularly fascinating about my apprenticeship is the variety of tasks and that every day is different. I also have a lot of contact with people, which I like very much. The flexibility of the training plan and the opportunity to contribute my wishes and ideas are also particularly important to me. A highlight of my work for me was when I was given responsibility for my own tasks and was able to work freely. This showed me that I can develop further in my job and that I am also challenged here.
At group-IT, I also really like the flexitime, which gives me a lot of flexibility. The parking facilities, the Caseli canteen and store, and the English course for apprentices are also great benefits. What I particularly appreciate about my colleagues and the team is that I can always ask for help and get support. The friendliness and trust in my work also mean a lot to me.
I would describe group-IT as a modern IT company and a helping hand for voestalpine. I can definitely recommend an apprenticeship at group-IT. Future applicants for this apprenticeship should be open to everything that comes their way so that they can always learn new things.
