The third round of the international voestalpine cares run starts on 1 March 2025. This initiative offers our employees the opportunity to promote their health through sporting activities and at the same time support people in need. Our employees around the world collect digital “cares”, which are converted into donations and benefit international aid projects. Together we move the world!
This year, we are supporting the Austrian Red Cross, UNICEF, Médecins Sans Frontières and Hilfswerk International with projects in Austria, Brazil and Ukraine, among others. In each of the four stages, a target of collected cares will be announced. A donation is unlocked after each stage target is reached. Our goal is to reach the maximum sum of 700,000 euros together!
The voestalpine cares run starts on 1 March 2025 and runs until 23 May 2025. cares points can be collected during this period. Our goal is for as many employees as possible to make a contribution in order to unlock the maximum donation amount.
Last year, 5,754 employees from 41 countries collected over 1.1 million cares points worth 700,000 euros in around 11 weeks. These points were earned through sporting activities such as running, hiking or wheelchair riding to unlock donations for charity. The focus was on collective movement and commitment, which was reflected in an impressive 1,192,129,250 steps, 19,308,564 active minutes and 956,380 kilometers covered.
